Patient Reviews
Jul 16, 2019
I have been working with Jay regularly for over three years. He has really helped me understand and overcome chronic anxiety, self-medicating, and day to day wellbeing. I can hardly recognize who I was when I first started seeing Jay. He has a kind spirit, and his casual nature is disarming. I felt comfortable, and still feel very comfortable, talking with him about anything. Some days, that means digging up very old trauma and using EMDR or talk therapy to work through it. Other days, we use art to express a difficulty. More often, we talk about very basic day to day living, relationships, confidence, world issues, finances, ambitions, etc. I can hardly express in mere words how different my life is today than it was the day I first started seeing Jay. On that day, I had recently stopped drinking and started a low dose SSRI. I felt anxious and confused and lost. I could barely drive myself to his office. My life is so completely different now thanks to Jay and our work together.
