How likely are you to recommend Dr. Bethea?
If you’re looking for a chiropractor you’ve found him. I’m taking the time to write a review because this man is in the business of changing lives! I will try to summarize my treatment but there’s no words to express my gratitude to Dr. Bethea. He gave me my life back! He believed in me when I didn’t. And he was committed to getting me back on my feet. I was in a hopeless condition, tearing my ACL in one knee right before the pandemic, then overcompensating with the other and messing that knee up even worse. I went to many (six of the top listed in Charlotte) doctors for a consultation and Bethea was the only one that diagnosed me above, Way above, what my X-rays showed. Bethea in that one session found things the top Orthopedic found with MRI and never took the time to explain. I was told about arthritis and my heart sunk. Bethea examined, explained my condition and said with work we can get you back. I laughed and smirked that day but it didn’t take long to make me a believer. I remember going to him saying I thought you were going to crack my back? His response was I’m more than a chiropractor, and he wasn’t exaggerating! I’ve found Dr. Bethea to be the best Chiro in Charlotte and it’s not even close. I’ve been to several facilities and all of them do basic care not addressing my real issues which was my knees. I planned on going to him and a PT to get double the help but with his background in sports medicine he was able to meet all of my needs and save me the extra cost. Little background on me, I am a former athlete, loved to run and went to him because I could not walk up or down the stairs without both hands pulling me up or bracing me so that I don’t fall down. Sitting down was a big plop and standing up I needed assistance. Basic things were a chore for me and I had just about conceded to this being how I’m aging since I was told I had arthritis (trauma to knees as a teen) and now my late 40s. Life gets worse not better physically right? I was taking my kids to Dyme Boxing where they recommended I see the Doc. This was the third person given high praise to this doctor so now it’s got my attention. I put it off for a while because doing my usual research I didn’t see enough reviews to impress me. Big mistake!!! I finally started consultations with various doctors to see who could help. When I called him to schedule an appointment he was the only to fit me in same day. He did a thorough exam, educating me on things I had no idea was the source of some of my other problems. Dr Bethea made me a plan and went to work, giving me daily home exercises to speed up my results. To make it even better he offers Personal Training which I believe is the best program I’ve ever had! As a former athlete I appreciated his background from collegiate sports and it really shines at the gym. The exercises he creates on the spot to target problem areas is a-MAZING! Every thing we discussed in the office gets addressed at the gym. Some how he knows exactly how to target the smallest of muscles and work it out!! He explains everything to you but he breaks down every part which is more interesting than understanding at times lol. I can’t begin to list all of the areas he’s helped but I will tell you many of them had nothing to do with why I came to him and was a side effect bonus from his care. To name a few, I had a nagging lymph node under my arm since 2018 that he found during my stretching and whatever he did it was gone when I left there, still hasn’t returned! I’ve had lower back issues from having kids (and a ton of other issues gotta love mommy tales lol) from an epidural I thought was just a part of life and he eliminated that! There was some kind of nerve behind my knee that caused weakness to go up the stairs, I’m not a small woman but there were obese people, old people, handicap people, you name it managing stairs better than me. That pain was gone after two sessions!! He worked on my arms between my wrist and elbow which I thought was strange, and it hurt so bad and he pressed on knots, but when he was done? I’ve been in pain in my arms from using them to get up from sitting, manage the stairs and in one session I got my arms back! He did some kind of stretch to my neck pressing on parts and my eyeball instantly got a headache which was toxins being released. Full range of motion activated! I could go on and on but then I would be writing a book and this is just a review. If you’re looking for a chiropractor who’s professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to you getting back to life Bethea is it!!! Did I mention he’s hilarious?? He will make you laugh during your visits and look forward to the next one. The office is very clean, and I’m not OCD per se but I notice the small things and i found zero issues with his office! They was compliant with face masks and wiping down tables and continue to do it (minus the masks) even after the mandates were lifted which I love! He’s been an absolute joy to work with and I’m just elated that he was able to get me back to where I should be this stage in life. As he always says do you want to turn back the time or speed it up? I chose to turn it back and take my life back. And yes I’m running up and down the steps again (whaaat) and everyone I know asks for his info lol. I will continue to highly recommend him to everyone because he truly is a game changer. You feel part of the inhome chiropractor family and are happy but sad when your treatment is complete. Stop thinking about it and get started so that you can get your life back! Happy Chiro-ing, smiles…
