Triple hernia repair LIFE CHANGING expected and unexpected benefits Expected benefits:No more abdomen cramps requiring pushing back bulge to alleviate painNo more wearing hernia beltUnexpected benefits that are at least as important as expected benefits:Immediately stronger urine stream and defined end stream push mechanism, which has always been very weak since original hernia surgery 51 years agoImmediately able to flex Pelvic Floor muscles with much more strengthImmediately eliminated constant sweat type fluids leaking through anus, thus removing the need to CONSTANTLY have to wear moisture absorbent pads (this is easily the most LIFE CHANGING of all)Perceived Laparoscopy Benefits to recovery:Most post-op pain (not bad at all, 1 on a scale of 5)is focused well below incisions/stitches removing any perceived need to rub or otherwise disturb the incision areaPersonally, I felt very well balanced having both sides repaired together as opposed to having pain on one side only
