Patient Reviews
May 13, 2022
One morning in March of 2018, I had sudden pain in my lower pelvis / groin region, along with nausea. I drove from my home in Newton Center to the Beth Israel Deaconess Urgent care facility in Chestnut Hill, and promptly came under the care of Dr. Hoffmann. She immediately ordered radiology of my lower back region and found 2 large kidney stones (left & right kidneys), left one was .8 cm, impacted, the one on the right was 1 cm, both lodged at base of kidneys. She immediately admitted me to BIDMC Hospital in Boston had me transported by ambulance to BIDMC Urologic Surgery. She basically saved my life. She also has a wonderful bedside manner and is an excellent and patient listener.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
