1982. You were in training and were kind enough to bring your guitar when accompanying a neighbor to an infusion appointment. You heard the nurse asking the doctor where the oxygen was. You ran down the hall saying, "Who has oxygen?" I was in anaphylactic shock. You later wrote a letter to the hospital administration requesting that oxygen canisters be labelled and placed in accessible locations. Thank you for being pro-active and re-active when it counted!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
