Patient Reviews
Jan 30, 2017
Dr. Mauerhan's reputation preceeded him. I made my first appointment with him based on a recommendation of a good friend. He told me that Dr. Mauerhan is the doctor who others doctors seek out for their own hip replacements. That was good enough for me. True to form, Mr. Mauerhan was an excellent surgeon and has a great bedside manner. My surgery may have been a bit more tricky than most since I am a polio survivor, but he performed in an excellent manner. My 5-year exam proved my point.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
