Dr. Schotthoefer - we can’t give you enough stars! From the moment I called your office in Huntersville, you worked us in immediately as I thought my son had dirt in his eye. Only to find that he had a metal shaving possibly from a swingset that had splintered in his eye which had rusted. Miraculously, you removed the foreign object and placed it in my hand as my son had no idea what had just happened! During this visit you did a complete eye exam and we found out then that our son could not see the big E (left eye) at the end of the room. As devastated as I was Dr. Schotthoefer explained that with patching it would make his eye stronger and his vision would improve. I immediately ordered patches and we patched for 2 to 4 hours a day every single day for a few years. We just had our first appointment since completing patching and what progress 20/200 - 20/20 with glasses!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
