Patient Reviews

I've been seeing Dr. Hiren Patel in Massachusetts for more than a year. He correctly diagnosed a serious and unusual spine injury, including a dural tear and peripheral nerve compression. Other physicians had not been able to diagnose this problem. Dr. Patel listened carefully and respectfully and was able to think 'outside the box.' He did a systematic, meticulous evaluation, taking time to listen to feedback and answer all questions. 7 months ago, I had neurosurgery with Dr. Patel and have steadily improved. Dr. Patel is kind and compassionate and considers whole patient well-being while focusing on highly specific neurosurgery needs. His office manager Chris is great too -- always getting back right away to make appointments or convey information to Dr. Patel.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
