Patient Reviews
Dec 17, 2023
Dr. Alpern has been a wonderful, meticulous and professional Gastroenterologist as I've transitioned my care of a chronic digestive illness from another state to his care in the Ventura area. He is very up to date with the evolving medical management of my condition, and has an approachable and engaging demeanor (in English and Spanish!).He clearly believes in shared medical decision-making with the patient, while bringing an intelligent approach to often difficult decisions; he presents the reasonable options, and will patiently review pros vs cons of different approaches with me. This is a pleasant contrast to the often rushed nature of modern post-pandemic medical care. His practice, as with many medical specialities since Covid, can get quite busy, but he has shown the ability to prioritize more urgent symptoms and findings.I highly recommend Dr. Alpern for helping care for digestive/GI problems.
