Patient Reviews
Jul 07, 2022
Dr Fajardo treats my feet for Peripheral Neuropathy (PN), which in my case is a result of bad ankle breaks in the 80s that damaged nerves. That damage began manifesting as neuropathy about 2013, worsening over time. The most effective treatment has been Neurolysis (see Wikipedia article, first paragraph under "Background") with Phenol. Injections are painful, but after 2 days the pain subsides, and the result is incremental deadening of the sensory nerves in my feet which are responsible for 'false pain' signals. Dr Fajardo is now instructing other podiatrists in the use of Neurolysis for relieving patients' PN pain. Again in my case, Neurolysis is coupled with medication, currently Lyrica. I have recovered a good deal of ability to walk without pain under this treatment. If you suffer from PN, I'd strongly recommend consulting Dr Fajardo to see if you'd be a good candidate for Neurolysis treatment to lessen your pain.
