How likely are you to recommend Dr. Britt?
I had an austin-akin bunionectomy on my right foot (56 yr old, fairly good shape). Dr. Britt was very friendly and informative. The recovery was more than I was expecting. I missed a week of work (I have an office job). I also could not drive for 6 weeks. This was actually not bad because my husband dropped me off and carried in the ice machine thing so I could use it all day at work. I also kept it elevated at work. My coworkers were great to help me. I was expecting a faster recovery. I used the ice machine the entire month--make sure to rent it, I would have been lost without it. A year later the foot looks good, but it does hurt if I put too much stress on the area that was corrected. I wear supportive shoes. I think I would do it again, just because having one foot that won't fit in shoes is a drag and I can handle the occasional pain. Dr. Britt was one of the most upbeat doctors I have ever met. It was nice to feel like he really enjoys his job.
