How likely are you to recommend Dr. Kakumanu?
Listen! This doctor does, and pays attention to the fine details, and respects patients and co-workers. He listens very well and communicates well with a range of people. I accompany a family member to appointments to help support her understanding and later compliance with health recommendations. She is an adult with developmental disabilities. Although she has a great new team, she has told each of them that they won't be as good as Dr. Kakumanu, that he was a special man. Dr Kakumanu made her feel safe and well-informed so she finally decided to have a needed surgery. The parathyroid/thyroid surgery could not have gone better. Every aspect. He explained procedures and conditions and lifestyle choices in ways that she understood and were accurate. His communication skills and medical expertise provided the foundations for continued improvement and changed habits. Glowing recommendations for Dr. Kakumanu!
