Patient Reviews
Dec 08, 2022
I received a new kidney by way of the skilled hands of the very gifted Dr. Ekwenna. My wife was told it could be up to a 4 or 5 hour procedure and that someone would come out at "about the halfway point" and fill her in on how it was going. She said her heart sank when after 2 hours, 20 minutes, she saw Dr. Ekwenna come out and asked him "What are YOU doing here?!?" He said "We're done. He did great! They are closing him back up now." The care I received at UTMC was nothing short of stellar. The recovery could not have gone better and has been under the watchful eye of "Dr. Obi". I have a new life thanks to this man and his team and would trust him with my life again in a heartbeat.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
