Patient Reviews
Feb 09, 2024
Prior to the surgery I was having pain and aching in my legs. Difficult to get comfortable in pretty much any position sitting, standing or laying down. I saw a vascular surgeon thinking maybe the leg pain may be cause by veins. Not the case. Next tried pain management and 4 steroid spinal injections. Injections helped at first. Next I got evaluations from 2 neurosurgeons. After reading reviews and researching as much as I could, I decided on Dr. Bidiwala. Very professional and also personable. Explained procedure and recover process very thoroughly. August 22, 2023, Dr. Bidiwala performed surgery for a slipped disc in S1 L5 area. Immediately after surgery the leg pain was gone. This was an 6 to 8 hour surgery. Yes there was pain where the 4 screws and 2 rods and a spacer were placed. As Dr. B explained recovery could be at least 6 - 8 months. I'm at the 6 month and I have soreness. I am able to perform tasks that I could not for 4 years. At 72 yrs I feel I got my life back.
