I live in Santa Cruz CA , and after getting Ultrasound results in Oct ,that showed a 12 mm stone in my Left Kidney ,and a 5 mm stone in my Right Kidney ,I did my research to find the best Kidney Stone Doctor ,at Stanford Univ Hospital. I found Dr Conti MD , He ordered a CT ,and it showed the stones were actually 3.6mm (L),and the second at 2mm(R) . Those results certainly gave me a much better prognosis. Dr Conti ,also performed an almost painless cystoscopy (bladder scan),and gave me a very complete report ,educating me and helping me understand, that my results were far less worrisome ,than I had thought . He also ordered a 24 hour urine test ,and was able to figure out ,that I was taking far too much Vit D ,that may have been adding to Calcium in the urine. Dr Conti is very knowledgeable ,and has a wonderful manner with patients. I would highly recommend him. I'm in better shape than I thought, and feel good about having an expert in the field ,that I can rely on when needed .
