Non-surgical orthos at Kaiser are generally not very good at soft tissue diagnosis or treatment. Quick to dx by x-ray, then propose steroid injections.Beyond that 'surgical consult' or 'try Physical therapy'. Relative to others in this dept, at least Dr Frombach has some understanding that soft tissue exists, and makes a good faith attempt to dx (albeit, like every other DO at Kaiser, based on insufficient knowledge). Good personality, friendly, mostly listens, willing to consider beyond the 1st obvious dx. Very willing to work with me & discuss options. Being wrong 50+% of the time is as good as you will find in an orthopedist.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
