Patient Reviews

I am a nurse and I had been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and told I needed a spinal fusion which I wanted to avoid. I had already tried epidurals, physical therapy, tens, and opioids. After reviewing my case and my MRI, Dr Schmidt explained everything clearly and told me he could do a more conservative Laminectomy which he was able to schedule in only 3 weeks. After 2 years of terrible back pain, I woke up after surgery with no more back pain and was able to walk just a couple of hours later. The numbness in my legs is slowly resolving and I consider Dr Schmidt the most wonderful surgeon I have ever known. His office staff have also been a delight to work with. And Highland Hospital staff were very friendly and caring. I definitely would only recommend Dr Schmidt for any spine surgery.
