How likely are you to recommend Dr. Axeen?
My 3yr old daughter with spastic quad cerebral palsy and uncontrolled epilepsy was evaluated by Dr. Axeen at the UVA Childrens neuro clinic. I rarely leave reviews, but felt compelled to after reading the above review. Our experience was vastly different. We had a very thorough and informative visit. Dr. Axeen was kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. She developed a plan we felt comfortable with, that included further testing, med changes, and other treatment options. She spent over an hour of time with us explaining everything in great detail. She listened to our concerns and addressed each one. There was one particular option that I was unsure I could do correctly at home, and she didn’t shame me or make me feel like like a bad parent for being honest about my possible shortcomings. During our recent inpatient hospital stay for follow up testing, her peers spoke very highly of her and her abilities. We couldn’t be more pleased with Dr. Axeen and staff!
