Richard Bergstrom, endocrinologist, at Providence St. Vincent's Hospital, is affable, patient oriented, and unrushed. I've been his patient for more than 20 years and always happy in my consultations with him. In fact, he gives a more thorough physical exam, and asks more pertinent questions, than most PCPs and other specialists -- a knowledgeable and likable guy who doesn't believe himself to be omniscient. Highly recommended. (The only negative is that the office seems understaffed, and the personnel rushed. The phone wait times are way too long, and sometimes their voicemail full)
