Patient Reviews
Jan 29, 2024
Dr Scumpia is an absolute genius. She uses real, current, directly observable tests to form science-based diagnosis and she does not rely on faulty opinions from previous caregivers. She personally evaluates every patient, which is an enormous feat considering how many Austinites are affected by endocrine issues and fill her waiting room daily. Some reviews complain that she is not chatty or friendly enough, but I do not care about seeing her for a friendly visit over tea. I want her to help me save my life and for that she is 100% the specialist I want on my team. Her advice is not easy, but it is worth it. She does not withhold truth so if your fragile ego is more important than fighting the insidious disease of diabetes, you will struggle, but if you KNOW this going in and can take the professional expert advice, she is WORTH IT! She has helped me go from 240 lbs and A1c 10+ to 160 lbs and A1c 5.5.
